I will have faith

Hebrews 11:1
Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see.

I will have faith that God will provide

Faith like Noah, when warned about things not yet seen, built an ark
Faith like Abraham, when called to go to a place, he obeyed and went even though he did not know where he was going. By faith he made his home there as a stranger in a foreign country. For he was looking forward to the city with foundations, whose architect and builder is God.
Faith like Moses, who chose to be mistreated than to enjoy the pleasures in Egypt for a short time.
Faith like the people who walked though the Red Sea.
Faith that the walls of Jerico would fall.
Faith like Peter who walked on water.
Faith like Gideon, Samson, Jephthah, David, Samuel, and the prophets, who through faith conqured kingdoms, administered justice, and gained what was promised; who shut the mouths of lions, quenched the fury of the flames, and escaped the edge of the sword, and whose weakness turned into strength.

I will have faith that our great God will provide all the materials, hands, and prayers to build a childrens home and community center for His glory alone here in Haiti.

I am praying and looking forward to starting a biblestudy/feeding program/ activities day once a week in the village of Guitton. A way to get to know the hearts of the people in the area as well as make our Fathers name known. I pray that we can teach and equip these sweet people to become men and women of God, and that we can shine a light into their eyes as we be the hands and feet of our King.

There are some adults who are willing to help cook for the children. We are praying that items needed will be provided to better equip us to fulfill this calling.
needed:
plates, cups, an igloo, large pots and utinsels, vitamins, hand sanitizer, and childrens bibles. Also any bible study curriculm or game ideas would be a great resource!
The food might consist of hotdogs, rice, or spaghetti. I am still trying to figure out how much is needed and around how many kids will attend.

Also, it is time to start the construction on the land!
The best place to start is with a security wall. This will give us a safe enviroment to work with the children as well as have a place to store supplies.

The cost to build the wall will be approx 8,000 american dollars. 6,000 for materials and 2,000 for labor.
We will be hiring local Haitians in the village to build so that they will have an income to provide for their families, but we are also looking for extra help for construction. Once the building is ready to be built we will be in need of electricians, plumbers, and a water well. I know God will use all of our talents together to get the job done!

Praise God half of the blocks have already been bought!
We will need about 1,500 more blocks which is about $900.00
150 bags of cement is $1,150.00
sand, rebar, rocks, nails, wood, buckets, shovels and everything else will be needed before we can start the construction.

I put all my trust and faith in God that He will provide enough to start the construction and nourish these sweet children in body and in spirit, at the same time.

Hebrews 14:20 May the God of peace, who through the blood of the eternal covenant brought back from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great Shepherd of the sheep, equip you with everything good for doing his will, and may he work in us what is pleasing to him, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.

God says trust me and I'll show you"

  1. Love this post and love your heart. I have been reading a lot myself this week about Gideon and how the Lord led him to win the battle. He gave him specific instructions. The words that seem crazy and not logical to others are the steps He instructed. Only 300 men. Gideon listened. I know you are listening Ellen. I know to others some of what you are doing sounds crazy, but not to Him and not to those with the same heart.
